Defence has undertaken an extensive consultation program as part of its preparations for the remediation works at Marrangaroo Army Depot.
The NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change, Lithgow Council and Councillors and the Council’s local Environment Advisory Committee have been briefed on the project.
Defence has held discussions with local residents, industry and the NSW Emergency Services. Defence will continue to work in partnership with the NSW Emergency Services to ensure the safety of all personnel on site and the local residents throughout the project.

Defence will ensure the local community remains informed throughout the life of the project.
