The Department of Defence is undertaking a community consultation and communications strategy that recognises the importance of providing local residents, statutory authorities and other interested stakeholders an opportunity to provide input into, or raise concerns relating to the project.
As part of the community consultation strategy, the Federal and State Parliamentary members for each of project works sites are being consulted, as well as local councils and utility providers, where appropriate.
The proposed works are subject to approval by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works (PWC), which conducts inquiries into such matters prior to making a decision.
More information on the PWC process, how to make submissions and the REDFIN Phase 1B Infrastructure Project can be found at http://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Joint/Public_Works/REDFIN
Due to the proposed REDFIN Phase 1B works at Campbell Barracks being concurrent with related works proposed to be undertaken at the site through the Campbell Barracks Redevelopment Project, the Department of Defence will hold a public information session to provide information to the community regarding the proposed new and upgraded facilities at Campbell Barracks.
The information event is an informal drop-in session, and community members are welcome to attend during the times listed.
When: Tuesday 7 July 2015
Time: 4.00pm – 7.00pm
Where: Mt Claremont Community Centre: 107 Montgomery Ave, Mt Claremont.
More information on the Campbell Barracks Redevelopment Project can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/id/Campbell/
