Photo ADF Nurses through History at the Australian War MemorialThe Director of Defence Force Nursing exercises technical control over the ADF nursing profession. Provides nursing advice and input on policy formulation in the areas of health capability, health standards and treatment programs, preventive health, and health resource policy and programs. Provides advice on the professional training and development of ADF nursing officers. Undertakes specific project responsibilities as directed.

Conferences

2008 ADF Nurses conference
20-21 November 2008
R1-Theatrette, Canberra

Over the period of 20-21 November 2008 DSWD-DDFN will be hosting the 2008 ADF Nurses conference. The conference program will be held in the theatrette ground floor R1 Russell Offices Canberra and the overall theme of the conference will be growth through diversity with an emphasis on developing ADF nursing roles. The primary goal of this conference are for ADF nurses to come together and formally and informally share experience, research and vision that will inform our future.

Credentialling

All ADF Nursing Officers, both Permanent and Reserve, please utilise the proforma attached to Health Bulletin No 16 "The Credentialling Process for ADF Nursing Officers" and fill out as per instructions on the form.
