7 Nov 2009 Precautionary warning: semi-dried tomatoes linked to hepatitis A -NSW Health is warning people, as a precautionary measure, not to eat loose semi-dried tomatoes unless they have been thoroughly cooked because recent evidence from Victoria shows an association between developing hepatitis A and contaminated semi-dried tomatoes.
9 Apr 2009 Mosquito warning in bushlands and rural NSW - NSW Health advises people living in or travelling to bushland around Sydney or rural parts of NSW over Easter to cover up and avoid mosquito bites especially over autumn, the peak season for mosquito borne diseases.

1 Jun 2009 Measles case in Adelaide Metropolitan Region - The Communicable Disease Control Branch (CDCB) has been notified of an overseas acquired case of measles in a 34 year-old male from metropolitan Adelaide. During the infectious period, the case travelled from interstate by car, visited the Berri Riverland Plaza shopping centre (1-4 pm Monday 25 May), the Chemist King at Colonel Light Gardens (Wed 27th May 11.15 am-1.15 pm), and the Flinders Medical Centre (Thursday 27th May after 5 pm).
25 May 2009 Increase in Locally Acquired Hepatitis A Cases - SA Health has now identified 26 cases of locally acquired Hepatitis A, related with high probability to consumption of semi-dried tomatoes.
