Directorate of ADF Rehabilitation Services

Responsibilities

Commander:

  • Responsible for the health and welfare of members under their command
  • Active involvement in the development and implementation of a member's Rehabilitation Plan

Member:

  • Report any change of circumstances that may impact on their performance
  • Actively participate in a Rehabilitation Assessment and Rehabilitation Plan
  • Claim compensation as soon as possible after injury or illness

Area Health Services:

  • Provide health services, including injury management, Rehabilitation Assessment and Rehabilitation Plans and reviews
  • Manage the Rehabilitation Coordinator(s) in each region

Rehabilitation Coordinators:

  • Coordinate the rehabilitation assessment and the rehabilitation plan once the process is triggered
  • Responsible for exercising the delegation of a Rehabilitation Authority (Service Chief)

Program Case Management:

  • A person or company accredited to provide return to work case management services and tasked by the Rehabilitation Coordinator
