Low Risk Drinking Tips

bullet Eat food before and while drinking alcohol.

bullet Know you limits; what may be OK for others may not be OK for you.

bullet Avoid getting into shouts.

bullet Finish each drink before you top up.

bullet Giving your alcohol ration to a mate might put him at risk.

bullet A healthy liver processes one standard drink an hour.

bullet Alcohol dehydrates. Drink water before and after alcohol.

bullet Have regular alcohol-free days.

bullet Very low levels of alcohol can affect judgement and performance. At 0.05 BAC you are twice as likely to have an accident.

bullet Look after your mates. If they look like they've had too much to drink, get them to a safe place.

bulletEat! Food in the stomach slows down the rate at which alcohol can be absorbed into your bloodstream.
