| 29 August 2008 Melbourne, VIC visit John Tye welcomed the Great White Fleet’s 100th year anniversary ships to Port Melbourne with traditional dance, singing and didgeridoo playing, accompanied by one of the elders, John Belling. USS John S. McCain Commanding Officer, Commander John Banigan had a possum fur placed over his shoulders as a sign of mutual respect with the Boon Wurrung people. |
