DMO Materiel Graduate Scheme - Finance and Accounting

I found one of the best parts of the Pathway was being able to choose rotations in other states and getting support from the graduate team to do this. Rotating every six months to new locations and work places meant the graduate network became a close knit group and I have many lasting friendships that came out of the Pathway.
The three rotations of six months each was a real highlight for Sinem in this Pathway. She said she found them very appealing
as she got the opportunity to work and gain exposure to different areas of the Defence Materiel Organisation and the Department more generally, before choosing a final placement
.
In particular, she enjoyed the annual familiarisation tour organised for new recruits.
They take the graduates to various Defence bases to see some of the big ticket items the organisation uses such as the Hercules aircraft and Navy ships. We also got the opportunity to meet some of the military personnel and hear first hand some of their amazing experiences, as well as look at some of the gear they are equipped with when they are deployed. We even got to try some of it on which was a lot of fun!
Regarding advice she would offer potential applicants, Sinem said, The application process and interview stages are quite straight forward and easy going so I would recommend applicants put as much relevant information in their application as they can, including part time work, university projects and hobbies, as these all add to the skills you have to offer
.
And to be calm, collected and yourself on the interview day!
Sinem completed this Development Pathway in January 2012.
