The Generalist Pathway gives graduates a thorough understanding of what Defence does, and the opportunities it offers. It doesn’t matter what you studied, all you need is an undergraduate degree completed by January 2014..
This Pathway takes 10-months to complete and consists of three rotations of three months each. The first of these is undertaken in Canberra, with the possibility of one in a regional area for those who want a further challenge. Rotations are offered across the entire Department.

We will provide you with experiences in three work rotations covering a variety of roles within the Department and will help you develop the necessary professional skills required for a long-lasting career. In each rotation you will have real tasks and responsibilities, and be fully integrated into the work team to ensure you reach your full potential.
