Procurement and Contracting within the DMO includes a diverse range of activities that are critical to the support of the Australian Defence Force. You could be involved in the acquisition of capital equipment assets and managing the contracts associated with the in-service life of those assets. Procurement and Contracting business in DMO is driven by the Defence objectives set by the Australian government and the operational requirements of the Australian Defence Force.

You will have unique opportunities to work on some of the biggest and most challenging projects in Australia, for example:

  • Researching the legislative situation surrounding the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles within Australian domestic airspace
  • Procuring Global Positioning Systems for Army and Navy aircraft
  • Managing contracts and negotiating with consultants
  • Preparing Statements of Work for procurement activities
  • Reviewing contract progress reports
  • Assisting with the evaluation of major tender documentation
