In order to support the practices of Religious Diversity, the Guide to religion and Belief in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) has been developed. This guide will assist ADF members and their supervisors to pursue and practice their religion/belief/faith according to their freedom of choice, subject to the considerations of operational effectiveness, health and safety, and business priorities.
Whilst this guide has been produced in direct support of the ADF, much of the content is also appropriate to the APS workforce. The Guide is a collection of the most common Religions and Beliefs as indicated in the 2006 Australian Census and will continue to be developed over time.
