Publicly available information released following an FOI access request.

Defence is required by section 11C of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) to publish a disclosure log on its website. The disclosure log lists information which has been disclosed in response to an FOI access request.  This requirement applies from 1 May 2011. The disclosure log complements the Information Publication Scheme required under section 8 of the FOI Act.


In accordance with the requirements of section 11C, agencies are required to publish details of information released under the FOI Act within 10 working days of an applicant being given access to the documents.


Defence will maintain on this website a list of documents released under the FOI Act.  This list does not include:

Defence will endeavour to publish on this website all documents released under the FOI Act.  However, there may be technical reasons that prevent us from publishing certain documents because of the file size. In that case, the documents can be accessed by request using the contact details below.

Defence intends to include a copy of the decision made as part of the administration of the request (with applicants’ personal information redacted).  Defence believes publication of the decision will provide the context for any redactions made to the documents.
