Engineering & Maintenance Compliance Element Engineering & Maintenance

The Director Estate Engineering Policy (DEEP) primary responsibilities are the development and promulgation of Engineering Design Policy; the provision of engineering advice and guidance to support the management and development of the Defence Estate and the monitoring of engineering policy compliance for delivery activities. The engineering policy and guidance is published on the Defence Estate Quality Management System (DEQMS) website. Authority for the Development and Promulgation of Infrastructure Engineering Policy is DSRG Business Rule 11 (internal only).

Defence provides Standard FDB Engineering Inclusions to identify Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Engineering and Aircraft Pavement requirements.

The Director of Estate Maintenance and Technical Regulation (DEMTR) provides technical capability to enable ASEE to discharge his responsibilities as the Technical Authority for Estate Maintenance.  Review, develop and implement policy and procedures and provide technical engineering advice necessary for the in-service operation and maintenance of Defence facilities.
