The scope of the certification is:
The planning, development, delivery and disposal (excluding operations and maintenance) of Defence Estate assets to support Defence capability.
The DEQMS Quality Manual was developed to reflect the linkages between applicable AS/NZS 9001:2008 Standard clauses and the DEQMS as well as the justification of any exclusions.
The DEQMS Team (the team) is responsible for coordinating, maintaining and improving the quality of information available on the DEQMS. To maintain DEQMS Certification the team continuously maintains the DEQMS using the Continuous Improvement Process. Embracing our culture of Continuous Improvement(CI) helps improve the way we work to support Departmental Program objectives and strategic Defence Outcomes. CI is not about apportioning blame to personnel when things go wrong. We will work alongside the appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Technical Authority (TA) to reach an optimum outcome to achieve compliance.
The DEQMS Assurance Review Program also helps support our culture of continuous improvement and our ability to improve the quality of information on DEQMS.
