2018 Consultations

Next Community Walk-in Session

The Department of Defence is holding Community Information Sessions and a community Kiosk to provide the local community an update on the detailed environmental investigation into per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at RAAF Base Pearce and nearby areas.

Members of the investigation team will be available to discuss the results of the Detailed Site Investigation and the Human Health Risk Assessment as well as the next steps in the process.

Bullsbrook Country Fair

On 8 April the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) opened a stand at the Bullsbrook Country Fair. Representatives from the RAAF Base Pearce PFAS investigation team were available at the stand to answer questions on the PFAS investigations.

FEB 23-24

Community Shopfronts

The Department of Defence ran two Community Shopfronts on the 23rd and 24th February 2018 in Bullsbrook.

The Shopfronts provided the community with an opportunity to find out more information in an informal setting about the environmental investigation into per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at RAAF Base Pearce and nearby areas.

Representatives from the Project Team were available at the Shopfronts to answer questions relating to the investigations and to provide updates on the Detailed Site Investigation and Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment.

2017 Consultations

Community Walk-in Session

On 28 November 2017 Defence held a community walk-in session to discuss the investigation into per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at RAAF Base Pearce. The session provided an update on the second phase of sampling undertaken for the Detailed Site Investigation and outlined preliminary findings of the Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment. Community Walk-in Session

On 18 May 2017 Defence held a community walk-in session to discuss the investigation into per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at RAAF Base Pearce. The event outlined the results of the Detailed Site Investigation and provided an update on the progress of the Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment.
