2018 Consultations

MAY 10

Community Walk-in Session

On the 10th of May the Department of Defence held a Community Walk-in Session to provide the local community with an update on the detailed environmental investigation into per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on, and in the vicinity of, Lavarack Barracks.

The Lavarack Investigation Team updated the community on the sampling requirements and approaches for the Detailed Site Investigation.

2017 Consultations

NOV 29

Community Walk-in Session

From 29 to 30 November Defence held two Community Walk-in Sessions at Townsville to provide an update on the results of the detailed environmental investigation into per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on and in the vicinity of Lavarack Barracks. Community members were also given an opportunity to fill in Water Use Surverys.

Community Walk-in Session

On 5 October the Department of Defence held two Community Walk-in Sessions at Townsville to provide the community with an opportunity to discuss the commencement of the detailed environmental investigation into per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on and in the vicinity of Lavarack Barracks.
