2018 Consultations

JUN 19-21

Community Walk-in Session & Community Stand

On 19 June Defence held a Community Walk-in Session to provide information on the environmental investigations into per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at RAAF Base Darwin and Robertson Barracks.

The Community Walk-in Session included a presentation on the findings of the Human Health Risk Assessment (HHRA) completed for RAAF Darwin and the findings of the Detailed Site Investigation (DSI) completed for Robertson Barracks. Defence, and other government agencies, were available to answer questions about the ongoing environmental investigations.

Defence also held a Community Stand, to provide an opportunity to find out more about the environmental investigations in an informal setting.

FEB 14-15

Community Stand

Defence held a Community Stand near Priceline Pharmacy at Casuarina Square on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 February 2018 to provide an update on the environmental investigation into per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at RAAF Base Darwin and nearby areas.

Representatives from Defence and other government agencies were available at the Stand to answer questions about the Investigation Area, Detailed Site Investigation (DSI) results and report, Human Health Risk Assessment (HHRA) and Ecological Risk Assessment (ERA.

2017 Consultations

DEC 6-7

Community Walk-in Session and Community Stand

Defence held a Community Walk-in Session at Charles Darwin University on Wednesday 6 December 2017 to provide an update on the Detailed Site Investigation at RAAF Base Darwin.

On 7 December 2017 Defence ran a community stand to provide the community with an opportunity to find out more about the investigation in an informal setting. Representatives from Defence and other government agencies were available at the Stand to answer questions.

On 22 March 2017, A Community Walk-in Session was held to announce the commencement of the Detailed Environmental Investigation at RAAF Base Darwin, and to introduce the Lead Consultation engaged to conduct the investigation.
