Our Graduate Program

The Defence Organisation is one of Australia's largest organisations with over 85,000 employees including over 20,000 public servants (civilians). The Defence mission is to defend Australia and its national interests.
To help achieve this, each year we recruit high quality graduates from all disciplines.
Whilst on the Graduate Development Program you will undertake a ten-month program that is carefully managed to introduce you to the Department. This is achieved by combining three varied work rotations with training designed to give you a strong base on which to build your career in the Public Service.
