Release of the Defence Trade Controls Bill 2011
Defence is now seeking industry comment to help shape the implementation of the Treaty and the enhanced export controls through implementing legislation. Defence is encouraging industry to make the most of this opportunity to be involved by using its experience to suggest workable solutions, identify practical implementation issues and provide other constructive input.
Exposure drafts of the legislation and other relevant documents are available on the DECO website for a consultation period ending on Friday 26 August 2011.
