This Division covers the conditions of service for a member on non-warlike deployment for less than six months. |

A member with dependants receives housing assistance if their dependants remain in the posting location. |

A member without dependants is eligible for the following housing assistance. |

retain their live-in accommodation. They are not required to pay a contribution under Chapter 7 Part 3, Living in accommodation, for the period of the deployment. |

living out and is in receipt of rent allowance / optional rent allowance |
continue to receive payment of the allowance. They are not required to pay a contribution under Chapter 7 Part 6, Rent allowance, for the period of the deployment. |

The member should check with their insurance company to ensure they have adequate contents cover during their absence. |

Deployments of less than six month duration do not attract pre-deployment leave and travel entitlements. However, a person listed in the table below may grant approval in special cases. See: |
