Service Warrant Officers
Background
On 1 August 2007, Defence Force Remuneration Tribunal (DFRT) approved the placement of Service Warrant Officers within a Warrant Officer Class 1 (equivalent) Pay Structure. Tier D of the Warrant Officer Class 1 (equivalent) Pay Structure was developed for the specific use of Service Warrant Officers. This Tier contained a salary range, where individual could be placed above the minimum rate via an Individual Determination approved by the DFRT. AimThe aim of the Service Warrant Officer review is to simplify the current mechanism for setting Service Warrant Officer remuneration. ProgressThe Directorate of Military Salaries and Allowances – Policy (DMSA-P) in consultation with the Services, have prepared a submission which is currently being deliberated by the DFRT. The ADF proposes the removal of Individual Determinations
and the creation of a single salary point for Service Warrant Officers. |
