Following on from the Defence Force Remuneration Tribunal (DFRT) decision on Phase 3, the ADF prepared a submission to develop a new pay structure for other ranks (Private (equivalent) to Warrant Officer Class Two (equivalent)).
On 9 August 2007 a 16 graded other rank pay structure and a new 8 pay graded tiered Warrant Officer Class One (equivalent) structure was introduced.
It established over 5 per cent differentials between pay groups at Private (equivalent) and around 3 per cent at the Warrant Officer Class Two (equivalent) level.
The 16 graded other rank structure also allowed the qualification and skill elements of:
to be rolled-in to salary.
