DEFENCE DETERMINATION 2005/15, CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

 

Chapter 1        Introduction (Required reading)

Approve a location as a member’s home port.

Director/Commanding Officer/Officer Commanding not below MAJ(E)/APS 6 in the member’s direct chain of command or supervision

Subclause 1.3.27.4

Approve an area that a member proposes as their posting location.

Approve a greater area than an area described in paragraph a., if certain criteria are met.

Subclause 1.3.54.6

Decide that the member’s posting period starts on a day before or after the specified posting period.

Subclause 1.3.79.2

Recognise a person as a dependant on the basis that the person has an interdependency relationship with a member, having regard to the prescribed factors.

Recognise a person who does not normally live with the member as a dependant for conditions of service purposes, if the person could be recognised as a dependant under paragraph 1.3.76.1.a or 1.3.76.1.b had they normally lived with the member.

Recognise a member’s live-in carer as a dependant for housing and removal purposes.

Appoint a trustee to act on behalf of a person who is under a legal disability.
