6.4 Pet
relocation
Pet relocation helps you with
the costs of moving your pets when you have a removal on posting.
What do you get?
You can be reimbursed the
reasonable costs of transporting and boarding your pets during the removal.
This might include veterinary costs if your pets need to be sedated, and the
costs of hiring pet containers. The cost of buying pet containers will not be
paid.
The animals must be pets.
Animals owned for economic or business purposes, such as animals kept for
breeding, are not covered.
Application to Reservists: No, except for Reservists on continuous
full-time service.
