5.15 Short absence for removal purposes

When you are granted a removal, a short absence from duty will allow you paid time to organise it. It does not matter whether your removal is between locations, or at the same location.

How much do you get?

If you are moving from one location to another, you can get two consecutive days' approved absence at each location. An extra day may be granted if you can show that you need it.

If you are moving within the same location, you can get up to three days' absence. An extra day may be granted if you can show that you need it.

Application to Reservists:  No, except for Reservists on continuous full-time service.
