Graded Other Ranks Pay Structure (GORPS)

What is GORPS?

GORPS marks the final achievement of the Remuneration Reform Project in rationalising and modernising military pay structures for all ADF members. GORPS allows the ADF flexibility to reward Other Ranks according to their work contribution, whilst meeting new and continuing capability requirements.

New Structures

On 4 September 2008, the existing 16 pay grade structure for Privates (equivalents) to Warrant Officer Class Two (equivalents) became 10 pay grades.

Also on 4 September 2008, the existing 8 pay grade structure for Warrant Officer Class One (equivalents) became 10 pay grades.

Each of the Services carefully considered placement of their members in the new structure.
