Overseas Operations

Conditions of Service

Defence personnel deployed on warlike or non-warlike operations overseas will be entitled to the deployment conditions of service package. The package is dependant on the nature of service of the particular operation. The deployment conditions-of-service package consists of a variety of conditions which may apply to a member. Some of theses include assistance with relief out of country travel, deployment allowance and extra leave.

The Defence Pay and Conditions Manual, Chapter 17, Parts 1 to 9 contains the conditions of service and guidance information for deployments. Part 10 contains the conditions of service and guidance information for Defence APS employees performing duty in support of ADF operations.
