The release of the Defence Occupational Health and Safety Strategic Plan 2007-2012, launched in October 2007, provides tools and assistance for Defence people to better understand how the Defence OHS Management System (OHSMS) relates to them and may be beneficial to their workplace.

An 'Incident' includes any injury or near miss including exposure to chemicals/noise/radiation, severe cuts/bruising, disease resulting from employment, incapacity, serious injury and fatality.
