Defence Work Health and Safety Awards

On behalf of the Defence Work Health and Safety Committee (DWHSC), the Defence WHS Awards recognises outstanding performance by areas within Defence in creating safer working environments. The aim of the Defence WHS Awards is to:

  • Recognise innovation and excellence in the fields of occupational health, safety and rehabilitation;
  • Raise the profile and awareness of occupational health, safety and rehabilitation programs in Defence
  • Encourage people at Service and Group workplaces throughout Defence, to develop, implement and evaluate initiatives that help achieve a safer and healthier work environment.
  • Provide the gateway into the Commonwealth level Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission (SRCC) Safety Awards and Australian Safety Compensation Commission (ASCC) Safe Work Australia Awards.
