'AMBASSADOR APARTMENTS' - CHEVRON ISLAND Location The Ambassador Apartments holiday units are situated on Chevron Island in the heart of Surfers Paradise. They are only about 10 minutes comfortable walking from the main beach and the centre of Surfers Paradise shopping area. Chevron Island shopping area also provides all required services for the holiday maker.
Accommodation Accommodation consists of: a. Six x three bedroom units comprising of one queen size bed and four single beds. (Maximum occupancy – 6) b. Six x two bedroom units comprising of one queen size and two single beds. (Maximum occupancy – 4) Facilities Each unit is well appointed and self-contained with excellent kitchen facilities including wall oven, electric cook top, microwave oven, dishwasher and garbage disposal unit. In addition a washing machine, clothes dryer and colour television are provided. All units have ensuites and built-in robes to the master bedroom. The apartments have a private outdoor recreation area with a swimming pool and BBQ facilities, as well as off-street secure underground parking. Everything essential is supplied in each unit, excepting linen, which can be hired locally through the manager at very reasonable rates. Pets Pets are NOT allowed at this establishment. However, boarding kennels for domestic pets are available in the Gold Coast area. Tariffs A High Medium and Low season tariff structure applies at Ambassador. Details can be obtained by ringing the Management Team at the apartments. Note: Occupancy is from 1300 hours day of arrival to 0900 hours day of departure. Tariffs are reviewed from time to time and any variations are effective immediately. Eligibility All serving members of the permanent Air Force, Regular Army, Permanent Navy and RAAFAR, adult members of the AIRTC, civilian employees of the Department of Defence and ex-members of the RAAF, Army and Navy are eligible to apply for accommodation and to have members of their family, relatives and friends accompany them. Please note that families, relatives and friends of entitled members cannot occupy accommodation unless the members accompany them. Confirmation of Bookings Confirmation of bookings, subject to vacancies, will be given: a. Serving RAAF - 12 months ahead (9 months ahead for school holidays); b. All others - 6 months in advance; c. Weekend bookings - Wednesday prior to required booking; and d. Overnight stays - Subject to vacancy on required night. Note: a ballot system operates in the school holidays. Location Located at the beach end of Koorin Drive at Kawana, just south of Mooloolaba, on the Sunshine Coast (an easy one hour drive from Brisbane), this relatively undiscovered region combines all the very best of the top tourist areas with the quiet tranquillity of an uncrowded stretch of beach. Facilities Boasting three swimming pools (one heated during winter) and private access to the beach, the resort has 2 ½ acres of landscaped tropical gardens, security undercover parking, gas barbecues and many more features. Eligibility RAAF and Army members have priority within booking times at the apartments. Notwithstanding they plus Navy (Regular and Reserve) Retired Defence Personnel, Defence Civilians, family of eligible members may use the facilities however, the eligible member must be staying at the apartment. Grand Florida Beachside Resort Location Grande Florida Beachside Resort is located 6.5kms south of Surfers Paradise on Queensland's beautiful Gold Coast. The resort is only 12.5 kms north of Coolangatta Airport and just 1.5 hours from Brisbane. There is a great selection of restaurants within walking distance of the resort, a patrolled surfing beach is only 100m away and Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is 4 kms north. Facilities Grande Florida is a low rise complex nestled in two acres of lush tropical rainforest gardens. What to do? Nestled in a quiet residential area close to the Nerang River, Bay Lodge offers access to the energy and lifestyle of Surfers Paradise with its famous surf beaches, as well as family living in self-contained units. Facilities There are two two-bedroom Army Amenities Fund apartments at Bay Lodge. Two on the ground floor, one on the middle floor and one on the top floor (accessed by stairs only). Each unit is fully furnished, with main bedrooms containing a queen-size bed and second bedrooms containing two singles. A foldaway bed may be hired to accommodate a fifth person in the apartment.
