Location

These fully self-contained apartments are at Trinity Beach, a northern beach suburb of Cairns. Iddeally situated only 50 metres from the beach, COCOS is right in the centre of the Marlin Coast.

Accommodation

One or two-bedroom apartments are available and each includes air-conditioning, colour TV, automatic washing machine, clothes dryer, telephone, private patio/balcony and full kitchen facilities. All linen is supplied.

Facilities

The apartments offer mostly undercover car parking, swimming pool, spa, barbecue and children's play area all set in beautifully landscaped gardens. A stinger (Box Jellyfish) proof net is erected at Trinity Beach to provide safe swimming during the stinger season.

'AMAROO HOLIDAY RESORT' - MAGNETIC ISLAND                

Location

Amaroo (meaning beautiful place) is situated on the hillside at Geoffrey Bay, Arcadia. It is surrounded by National Park. The area abounds in wildlife and offers a superb view of Geoffrey Bay with Townsville in the background.

Accommodation

This resort consists of four self-contained flats, with each offering comfortable accommodation for six people. All units are air-conditioned with linen provided.

Facilities

Each flat consists of one main bedroom, kitchen, dining and living rooms, long verandah, shower, toilet and laundry facilities (washing machine, iron and ironing board). A two door refrigerator, electric stove (including oven), crockery, cooking and cleaning utensils, barbecue and colour TV are provided. A cot and high chair are available in each flat.

Use of barbecues is subject to local fire orders and is particularly relevant during winter and early summer months. Contact National Parks and Wildlife Service Magnetic Island Ranger on (07) 4778 5378, or Townsville (07) 4722 5211, for permission during times when fire bans apply.

The units are self-cleaning in order to keep costs to a minium, so it is necessary for tenants to bring their own household items (cleaning and washing detergents, soap, toilet tissue). It is suggested that foodstuffs and drinks be purchased on the mainland as prices tend to be higher in tourist areas. It is the responsibility of the tenants to leave the flat clean and tidy on departure. Mops, brooms and buckets are provided for this purpose.

Transport

Transport to Magnetic Island is by passenger and car ferry from the Breakwater Terminal, Townsville. Mokes and bikes may be hired on the Island. Buses and taxis run between the bays.

Tariffs

Tariffs are either per night or per week with two rates for serving or non-serving guests and are GST-free.
