From the specialist manufacture of organic chemistries and integrated pumping systems to the supply of specialist fluid systems, Environmental Fluid Systems (EFS) is building its reputation through safe, non-toxic and readily biodegradable products.

With MILSPEC approved products for aircraft cleaning, the EFS TRIPLE 7 worksafe and environmental chemistries are usable across a wide variety of industry and Defence areas.

Lorraine Johnson of EFS suggests the good thing about TRIPLE 7 products is that they are non-toxic, readily biodegradable natural plant based products designed for environmental protection, while also being effective cleaners, degreasers, descalers, solvents, lubricants and odour neutralisers. “The benefits include high performance, less corrosion, odours eliminated, lower disposal costs, no toxic off-gassing and safer handling,” Ms Johnson said.

EFS presently sees a lot of industry focus on work with effluent systems, water treatment, pumping pits and in protected environments and council areas. “We do a lot of work with effluent systems and water treatment in national parks and our products are used extensively in protected environment, such as the Antarctic for the treatment and return of waste,” she said. “We are also seeing a lot of people speaking of very high salt content in waste water so our products are extremely helpful here.”

The company was established in 1992 in Warrnambool, Victoria, with a focus on being environmentally responsible as a specialist importer and manufacturer of pumps and fluid handling equipment. The company now points to significant experience in pump hydraulics and the manufacture of organic TRIPLE 7 chemistries. Applications include water supply, factory waste management, waste water recycling, irrigation dosing and pollution and odour control.

Ms Johnson said the company was particularly proud of the fact its TRIPLE 7 products were non-carcinogenic, were derived from renewable sources and offered low corrosion, and were free of petroleum derivatives, synthetics and volatile organic compounds.

“These are leading edge proprietary technologies that perform as well or better than traditional cleaning solutions without toxic or hazardous components,” Ms Johnson said. “Current users of these products range from abattoirs, for factory water treatment and improved effluent quality, to Defence, hospitals and liquid waste cartage for odour control in trucks and filling lines.”
