A specialist weekly podcast on national security developments will be launched early this month and will be delivered via your iPod or via PC.
The weekly round-up will focus on national security developments including analysis of defence, counter-terrorism and homeland security issues facing the nation.
According to National Security Radio Executive Director Athol Yates the program will appeal to people employed in the military, defence industry, national security, emergency services, border security and law enforcement.
‘One of the issues for a lot of the professionals in Defence and counter-terrorism is that they want information that is pitched at a much more sophisticated level than main-stream media,’ Mr Yates said.
The weekly podcast will also include interviews with national security policy makers and practitioners, recognising that a prime audience for the show will be the large body of younger professionals who will progressively assume responsibility for rolling-out Australia’s accumulating suite of national security responses.
Each program will run from 15-30 minutes. The first podcast took place on 7 March 2006. To download it visit the National Security Radio website.
