Ships decision to shape defence
force future
Defence Minister, Dr Brendan Nelson, described it as a great day for
the ADF at the announcement of the $11 billion investment in five
new Navy ships 'which will shape our defence force and our Navy in
particular for the next 40 years'

Ongoing Defence analysis re-affirms the original assessment that the
Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) is the right choice for Australia, providing

Clothing review update for industry
Almost a year has passed since the release by the Minister for Defence
of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Clothing Review. The review
contained 29 recommendations divided into five themes. The newly formed
Clothing Systems Program Office within Land Systems Division has completed
22 of the recommendations with the remaining recommendations either
being finalised or are considered ongoing in nature.

Maritime Systems has focus on ship repair
safety
Following a number of safety related incidents in the Ship Repair
environment which occurred during the later half of 2006, a study
was undertaken in Maritime Systems Division of DMO to examine the
causes of these incidents.
