Creating new masters
Engineers who lead the delivery of complex engineering outputs with
competence in military support system integration are few. In the
past, engineers have needed between eight to 15 years workforce experience
to acquire the necessary skills.

DMO assists in the export of an Australian
capability
Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) and in particular Land Systems
Division's Bushranger Project Office have provided key support to
Australian company ADI Limited, in their bid to capture export business.

DMO CEO
On 16 September the tanker NUSHIP Sirius was commissioned
in a traditional naming ceremony. It is a double hulled, environmentally
sustainable oil tanker, built in the Republic of Korea by the Hyundai
Mipo Dockyard Company.

Defence Materiel Organisation's (DMO) Project Air 5376, Hornet Upgrade
Phase 2.2 (HUG 2.2), has taken the top honour at the New South Wales
(NSW) Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) Achievement
Awards, winning project of the year.

Collins project recognised for excellence
Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) Collins Class Replacement Combat
System Project has won the 2006 Australian Capital Territory (ACT)
Project Management Achievement Award (PMAA) for construction/engineering/aerospace.
