ADI Limited has handed over the last of the 152 Bushmaster Troop Variants to the Defence Material Organisation at an official ceremony in Bendigo.

The delivery of the last Trop Variant signifies a significant milestone for Defence and Australian Industry. ADI Limited achieved delivery, on time and on budget, after signing a production contract in July 2002.

An enhanced acquisition process and close cooperation between the Australian Government and Australian Industry resulted in a world class product for the Australian Army and created significant employment opportunities within Australian industry.

The Bushmaster Infantry Mobility Vehicle has been used by the Australian Army in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and has since received international interest in its capability and performance.

The Bushmaster is the first Australian-designed and developed armoured vehicle to be selected for use in the Australian Army since World War II. It provides anti-vehicle and small arms protection with exceptional mobility, carrying three days of supplies for extended operations.

Army Bushmaster trials
