	Learning to work together: DISC 2006 Defence Materiel Organisation is currently seeking nominations for the 2006 Defence and Industry Study Course (DISC) from senior managers of companies engaged in, or preparing for future business with the Australian Defence Organisation (ADO).
	Purchase of Aegis combat system for destroyers Several Defence and industry delegates attending the Pacific Maritime Conference 2006 took a closer look at the Aegis Weapon System when they attended a tour of the USS Pinckney (DDG 91). The USS Pinckney remained docked at Garden Island for a week during the conference held in the beginning of February.
	New Minister for Defence portfolio The appointment of Dr Brendan Nelson MP as the new Minister for Defence follows the resignation of Senator Robert Hill from the portfolio.
