Greg Combet, Minister for Defence Personnel, Materiel and Science, recently announced that the Australian Defence College (ADC) in partnership with Raytheon Australia will host its first Visiting Industry Fellow.
“It is with great pleasure that I welcome the General Manager Aerospace at Raytheon Australia, Mr Craig Wilkinson to this role,” Mr Combet said.
“Mr Wilkinson has held a range of leadership appointments and has over 20 years of industry experience, which will allow him to make a significant contribution during his tenure at ADC.
“ADC is the leading educational institution for Defence personnel undertaking leadership appointments within Defence.
“Mr Wilkinson will provide a defence industry perspective on the educational programs delivered by ADC, specifically the senior Defence and Strategic Studies Course and the Australian Command and Staff College Course (Joint).
“Mr Wilkinson will also provide expert advice on the courses and research undertaken by the University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force Academy in relation to defence industry.
“This temporary attachment is an outstanding opportunity for defence industry to help design and deliver industry related teaching programs for military and civilian professionals.
“The Rudd Government is committed to supporting Australian defence industry and this attachment further strengthens the ties between industry and Defence,” Mr Combet said.
ADC delivers courses and programs of study to prepare Australian and international Defence force personnel, government officials and national security practitioners for strategic roles within joint and combined operating environments.
