Port-a-cool 48” unit

U.S. troops in Iraq kept cool with Port-a-cool 48" units

When it comes to keeping cool, look no further than Portable Cooling Solutions. Portable Cooling Solutions Australia is a new company founded by the need for commercially affordable portable cooling equipment.

“In our business we have over 15 years of commercial air conditioning experience specialising in commissioning of industrial and commercial Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. With our experience we searched to find a suitable product that would meet the expectations of commercial, industrial, mining and military users,” says Faizal Gordon of Portable Cooling Solutions Australia. The company has been successful in securing the distribution of Port-a-cool equipment and they handle the importing, sales, service, repair and hire of all Port-a-cool equipment.

The company employs six staff who are able to provide customer advice, technical support and after sales service. The business is currently located in Perth, Western Australia and provides Australia wide distribution of their cooling products.

Portable Cooling Solutions Australia has been in operation for 18months, and the company’s background and experience means they are able to provide the correct advice, service and back up support on Port-a-cool products for their customers. “It is important that our customer’s have piece of mind when purchasing our products,” says Mr Gordon.

Port-a-cool evaporative cooling units are manufactured in Texas, Unites States (US) and are used by the US and NATO forces as well as for domestic, commercial, industrial and mining use. “We are looking to be able to provide an alternative solution to traditionally installed air conditioning that is cost effective and environmentally friendly,” Mr Gordon said. “Port-a-cool is purposely designed and manufactured for portable use.”

Some of the advantages about this system include:

  • it can work where refrigerated air conditioning is unavailable, impractical or cost prohibitive
  • lowers the ambient temperature by up to 12ºC
  • the most advanced, portable evaporative cooling system
  • cost effective to operate
  • distributes cooler air instead of circulating hot air
  • easy to operate, clean and maintain
  • units combined with accessories, can affordably and effectively beat the heat
  • offers effective, high quality cooling at extremely low operational costs
  • simple to set up with low power consumption; and
  • robust construction

Mr Gordon said that as an Australian Small to Medium Enterprise, it was important that defence and industry relationships continue to strengthen, “It is important to have opportunities for local and international businesses to support the Australian Defence Force with suitable equipment for their needs.”

“We are looking to be able to provide an alternative solution to traditionally installed air conditioning that is cost effective and environmentally friendly,” said Mr Gordon.
