The Naval Inventory Procurement Office (NIPO) was created 6 April 2010.

NIPO is a centralised procurement and inventory management organisation which supports the RAN and other services. NIPO employs a professional workforce that is proficient in: Materiel Requirements Determination, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Inventory/Asset Management, and Financial Management.

NIPO is an element of the Defence Materiel Organisation, Maritime Systems Division.
