JP 2095 Phase 1 – Aviation Fire Truck

Point of Contact

Project Overview

JP 2095 Phase 1 will acquire sixteen new vehicles, compliant with international safety standards to replace the existing Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) capability provided by the current fleet of Trident TFA (Trucks, Fire, Aircraft). These vehicles will be capable of providing Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) services at those bases where the RAAF provides its own ongoing ARFF services (Amberley, Tindal, Williamtown and Richmond), and will also have the potential to deploy on expeditionary operations.

The acquisition of 16 ARFF vehicle systems through open tender was approved in December 2005. Introduction into service is planned for late 2008 to coincide with the arrival of the Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft.
