Point of Contact

Project Overview

JP 141 was raised to acquire and bring into service new equipment and enhance existing Chemical, Biological and Radiological Response (CBRR) equipment systems to provide an effective long-term CBRR capability.

The raising of the Incident Response Regiment (IRR) was announced on 14 May 2002 following the release of the Government's Budget approving funding for the IRR capability. This included a new JP 2087 funded for additional capital equipment for the IRR. The combined outputs of JP 141 and JP 2087 will deliver the equipment capability for the IRR.

Current Status

TOP
JP 141/2087 is in Stage 5 of a seven-stage rolling procurement program, which began in December 2002 and delivered a mature capability late 2005. A post-maturity program delivered selected capability upgrades in late 2007. The capabilities delivered include both Commercial and Military off-the-Shelf material solutions that satisfy the IRR equipment requirements.
