Skilling Australia’s Defence Industry (SADI) Program
SADI Program
The SADI Program commenced in 2005 with three main aims:
- to upskill existing employees
- to improve the quality and quantity of skills training in defence industry; and
- to generate additional skilled positions.
Since its inception, over 100 defence companies and organisations have been provided with funding support for training and/or skilling activities in professional and technical trade skill areas. In response to the Commonwealth Grant Guidelines 2010 and the continued high level of interest from defence industry, the SADI Program is now being offered on a rounds basis for 2011/12.
Funds availability will dictate whether a second round of SADI funding will be offered.
