Commercial Policy and Practice Branch has released Defence Procurement Policy Manual (DPPM) 1 July 2011 and it is effective from 01 July 2011.
The DPPM is the principal reference document for Defence officials conducting procurement. It provides procurement officers, and others involved in the procurement process, with the policy and operational guidance necessary to comply with Commonwealth policy.
DPPM 1 July 2011 consists of the following revised and updated chapters:
- Chapter 1.2 – Commonwealth Procurement Guidelines;
- Chapter 1.4 – Delegations for Procurement;
- Chapter 3.10 – Interacting Policies;
- Chapter 3.15 – Indemnities, Limitation of Liability and Insurance;
- Chapter 4.10 – Service Contracts and Agency Relationships; and
- Chapter 6.7 – Contract Amendments.
All other parts of the DPPM remain unchanged from what was previously issued as DPPM 1 April 2011.

Hard copies of the DPPM are not available. Users of the DPPM are encouraged to bookmark this page and use the DPPM as an online reference.
DPPM online can be word searched for key words using the ‘binoculars’ icon located at the left of the DPPM page. Users of the DPPM are also encouraged to become familiar with the table of contents and use it as a guide to locate specific topics quickly.
