Defence Procurement Policy Manual 1 July 2009 Edition

Procurement and Contacting Branch has released Defence Procurement Policy Manual (DPPM) 1 July 2009. DPPM1 July 2009 is effective from 01 July 2009.
The DPPM is the principal reference document for Defence officials conducting procurement. It provides procurement officers, and others involved in the procurement process, with the policy and operational guidance necessary to comply with Commonwealth policy.
The substantive change in DPPM 1 July 2009 is the incorporation of the 30 day payment policy in accordance with the Department of Finance and Deregulation Finance Circular 10/2008.
The following chapters were updated in DPPM 1 July 2009:
- Chapter 3.3
- Chapter 3.10
- Chapter 5.4
- Chapter 6.4
- Annexes 3F, 6C, and 6D
- Updated Table of Contents, Definitions, and Index.
All other parts of the DPPM remain unchanged from what was previously issued as Version 6.0 – Update 6.6 on 07 January 2009.

Hard copies of the DPPM are not available. Users of the DPPM are encouraged to bookmark this page and use the DPPM as an online reference.
DPPM online can be word searched for key words using the ‘binoculars’ icon located at the left of the DPPM page. Users of the DPPM are also encouraged to become familiar with the table of contents and use it as a guide to locate specific topics quickly.
The Directorate of Procurement Policy within Procurement and Contracting Branch, Office of Special Counsel, DMO maintains the DPPM.
