ASDEFCON (Shortform Goods) V2.1

Effective July 2009

ASDEFCON (Shortform Goods) is based on Form SP020, which contains the standard terms and conditions under which Simple Procurement is conducted by Defence. ASDEFCON (Shortform Goods) contains the same terms and conditions as Form SP020, but also includes a clause limiting the liability of the Supplier. The inclusion of the limitation of liability clause in ASDEFCON (Shortform Goods) means that any procurement using ASDEFCON (Shortform Goods) will be a Complex Procurement requiring the exercise of Complex Procurement delegations.

ASDEFCON (Shortform Goods) is drafted in a manner that makes it suitable for a wide range of procurements which, but for the inclusion of a limitation of liability clause, would otherwise be classed as Simple Procurements.

ASDEFCON (Shortform Goods) comprises a Purchase Order Proforma followed by the General Conditions of Contract.

Version 2.1 incorporates policy changes arising from:

• amendment of clause 23 to provide a simplified aggregate total for the limitation of liability.
