Real Opportunities

As a trainee you will be given the opportunity to work on exciting, real-world projects with leading edge technology in engineering/technology, IT and Logistics.

Depending on your skills and experience, work in DMO will be designed to complement your study program. A training plan designed to detail the on and off the job requirements will be negotiated and signed with your supervisor and TAFE institution. Your general plan will involve a 50/50 work to study ratio during your school semester and full time work in DMO during semester breaks as negotiated with your supervisor.

Positions will be offered in various locations around Australia. Should you be offered a placement on the MTES it will be located in your home state, to allow you to continue your study with minimal disruption to your existing commitments. Those awarded a place on the MTES will commence with the DMO in January each year. Applicants should be aware that on completion of the program the MTES management team will endeavour to permanently place you in your nominated home state, this may not always be achievable as it is determined by DMO operational requirements at the time.
