Role
Jimmy Wong is a Software Engineer for the Command and Intelligence Systems Support Office in the DMO. Jimmy is responsible for investigating software technologies, and providing technical assurance in support of Command and Control applications.
Career profile
Joining the DMO through the MGS in 2005, Jimmy has had rotations working on business intelligence within the Corporate Governance branch, airborne protection technologies in the Electronic Warfare domain, and an industry placement with ADI Limited. The diversity of these exposures has provided high level familiarity with DMO operations and technical aspects of project management, complemented with experience dealing on the 'other side' of Defence business. Jimmy has since had significant involvement in the design of emergent messaging and collaboration solutions for the deployable environment.
Qualifications
Jimmy has a Bachelor of Engineering (Software Engineering) from Curtin University of Technology, and is completing a Master of Engineering Science (C4ISREW) through the Australian Defence Force Academy.
