Career profile

Materiel Graduate Danielle Hodge joined the DMO after completing her Naval Architecture degree in 2006. For Danielle, DMO offered the opportunity to work on leading edge multi million dollar projects in the discipline of her choice.

The DMO provides graduate naval architects with a great range of experiences with the large number of vessels sustained by the DMO for the Royal Australian Navy.

In her first year with DMO Danielle has undertaken challenging engineering work on vessels such as the Force Guided Missile Frigates, HMAS SUCCESS (an Auxiliary Oiler Replenishment vessel), Mine-hunters and tugs. While based in Sydney, she was also lucky enough to tour a number of visiting vessels and see the Queen Mary 2 up close. Miss Hodge is now spending her 2nd rotation in Darwin working with the acquisition project for the Armidale Class Patrol Boats.
