Background
The Mission
Planning System is a mission support system capable of pre-mission planning.
The system, while capable and robust, has a number of identified shortcomings.
The aim of Project Air 5376 Phase 2 is to modernise the system and to add in new technology that will improve the mission planning function and give a higher standard of result to the operator in a more informative and functional environment substantially quicker than the current system. Another major feature of the desired outcome will be the ability to swap data between a number of other supporting systems. This increased level of interoperability will significantly improve our pilots planning and mission effectiveness in both the training and operational environments.
