| Land Systems Division (LSD) is responsible for the acquisition and sustainment of designated land systems for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). LSD’s activities include management of approved major and minor capital equipment projects, overall coordination of the Army minor capital equipment program, and national fleet management for land-based fleets of military equipment. The Division is also responsible for the provision of engineering support to land materiel, and land materiel support to ADF operations, exercises and activities. Land Manoeuvre Systems Branch This Branch is divided into four integrated systems program offices, responsible for the acquisition, sustainment and disposal of land manoeuvre systems including: tracked and wheeled armoured vehicles, field and commercial vehicles, and engineer equipment. Land Combat Systems Branch This Branch is divided into five integrated systems program offices, responsible for the acquisition, sustainment and disposal of a range of designated land combat systems including: armaments, combat support, soldier modernisation, ADF clothing, and general support capabilities. Land Engineering Agency This Agency ensures the technical integrity of land systems is attained and maintained. The Agency provides direct engineering support to systems program offices and specialised engineering services from a centralised bureau. It also provides materiel support services, including item codification, cataloguing, technical data management, prototype development and testing. Overlander Program This Program is responsible for the multi-phased project known as LAND 121 (Overlander), which is a $3b major capital equipment project designed to acquire the future fleet of field vehicles and trailers for the ADF. |
